Israel’s health tech sector is a powerhouse, with over 1,600 companies and $5 billion in investments in the last two years. Yet, bridging the gap between clinical expertise and tech innovation remains a challenge—particularly in Northern Israel, where the health tech ecosystem is rapidly evolving.

The Gateway to Health Tech: Tzafon Edition is a unique and innovative program dedicated to strengthening the health tech landscape in the north, equipping physicians and medical professionals with the knowledge, skills, practical tools, and connections needed to create real impact in this vital industry.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of Israel’s health tech ecosystem with a focus on Northern Israel’s growing sector. The program combines foundational knowledge—key players, technologies, and industry trends—with practical skills like networking, LinkedIn & CV building, and professional storytelling.

Expertise in Sector Trends

Explore Israel’s health tech landscape, uncovering opportunities, key players, and strategies to address global healthcare challenges through technology. Deep dive into sub-sectors, trends, innovation in academia, government policies, VC funding, AI infrastructure & more.

Collaborate with health tech companies, startups, and innovation hubs across Northern Israel. Build meaningful connections with hospitals, local healthcare organizations, and entrepreneurs to strengthen the region’s health tech ecosystem. Who were our past participants?

The 2024 cohort consisted of physicians and medical students eager to bridge their clinical expertise with the dynamic world of technology.

Our participants gained the skills, strategies, and connections to become integral contributors to Israel’s health tech ecosystem, setting a powerful example of how medical professionals can lead the charge in health innovation.

Program Candidates

Gateway to Health Tech is for physicians, medical students after the beginning of their clinical years, and healthcare professionals across medical specialties.

Eligibility Requirements

Participants must either be residents of northern Israel or employed within the region who are committed to attend a minimum of 80% of the sessions (at least 6 in-person sessions and 2 online sessions).

The program spans three months, from June 2025 – September 2025.

What’s Included

The program consists of both in-person and virtual sessions to accommodate diverse schedules and create impactful learning experiences:

  • 8 in-person sessions at The Tzafon Medical Center (TZMC), a leader in medical innovation in the north
  • 3 online sessions for extended learning
  • Networking opportunities with key stakeholders, local health tech companies, and innovation experts
Participation Fee

The total cost of participation is 500 NIS.
